Take A Bite

I'm off, again.

This time to the Big Apple.

---

New York, New York

Performed by Frank Sinatra

Start spreading the news, I'm leaving today
I want to be a part of it - New York, New York
These vagabond shoes, are longing to stray
Right through the very heart of it - New York, New York

I want to wake up in a city, that doesn't sleep
And find I'm king of the hill - top of the heap

These little town blues, are melting away
I'm gonna make a brand new start of it - in old New York
If I can make it there, I'll make it anywhere
It's up to you - New York, New York

New York, New York
I want to wake up in a city, that never sleeps
To find I'm a number one, head of the list,
Cream of the crop at the top of the heap.

These little town blues, are melting away
I'm gonna make a brand new start of it - in old New York
If I can make it there, I'm gonna make it anywhere
It's up to you - New York, New York

good question. i'm not sure why it's called the big apple...

my suspicions tell me that it doesn't have any associations wtih adam and eve, and what is commonly known as the original sin. if u read genesis 3 closely it makes no references to an 'apple', but refers to the fateful bite as a 'fruit'.
