Innocence

Isn't he cute! We spotted him with his two well grown gorgeously white swans at a park in San Francisco.

The pair of swans both kept a protective eye over him while he bathed himself, yet was assured our presense weren't threatening, in allowing us all to get up close and personal.

To the little one, he was oblivious to all the attention he was receiving.

Cupid

My sales manager at work cacks me up. Earlier this week he's been suggesting ideas left, right and centre to pair me up with one of his best mates. Not that I'm interested.

It must be the ten billionth time he's brought the topic up. Most of the time I laugh along at his suggestions. More recently at how he's been coming up with a whole array ideas, and running with them without me even saying a word. It must be the salesman in him.

It definitely adds a more comic edge to my working day.

A Few Of My Favourite Things

1. Ugg boots.

Earlier this week, my mum bought home a new pair for my left and right feet. Hehe. So, the last couple of nights my footies have been smiling with glee n feeling very snug.

Now winter doesn't feel so cold anymore :)

2. Hearing the gentle pitter patter of rain on roof tops.

Ok. So that doesn't happen quite so often at home. We have tile roofs. But at work on Friday -- out of the corner of my ear I heard this unfamiliar yet comforting sound, and I asked, mostly to myself, "is that rain?"

My eyes jumped with joy when I found out it was :) and feasted on the streams of water flowing down among the gum trees through the window.

3. Chinese ginger and eggs.

That is, the stuff they sit and soak for months in a rich dark ginger broth. It's an asian tradition, or so I'm told, to cook and distribute them to family and friends to share in the celebrations of the first month of a new baby. I'm not sure why.

My mum brought some home from work on Thursday night. One of her work friends recently gave birth, and we served it as one of many dishes for dinner. I adore having dinner at home. Mmm.

The aroma this stuff produces is intoxicating! And the satisfaction that runs through my body after eating it is pure joy. I don't have it very often, but I love it everytime I do.
