Grace

The Church's one Foundation is
Jesus Christ her Lord;
She is His new creation by water and the Word:
From heav'n He came and sought her
To be His holy bride;
With His own blood He bought her,
And for her life He died.

The above is the first verse of the Hymn we sung today at the 40th anniversary thanksgiving service for church held at Willoughby Town Hall.

I can't begin to convey how these words struck me with awe, and brought me into a deeper understanding, meaning, and love for the church.
