How Can I Say

When I first became a Christian, this song encapsulated how I felt.

I thought I'd lost the CD, but I recently discovered it in another CD cover. So, I played it.

The song had escaped my memory, and when I heard it again, it brought be back the overwhelming emotions I experienced some two and a half years ago.

The saxaphone. The words. Together celebrating a love that initiates. A love that motivates. A love worthy of celebration.

It is true. Nothing has changed. How do you say thank you to something so grand?

How Can I Say
Words & Music by Deb Fung

How can I say I thank You
Oh Lord for what You’ve done?
My finest gifts are a poor man’s rags
Before a Holy One
How can I say I need You?
And that I understand it all
You came down from Your Holy throne
To redeem and save us all
So thank You O Lord that You loved me first
While I was lost
And I could not see
You thought of me as You climbed that hill
And they nailed You to a tree
How can I say I love You
To the God of everything?
Forget words, I’ll bring my life in worship
To You, my Lord and King
To You, my Lord and King
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah
I will praise
The Lord with all my heart
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah
Worship the Lord
This is how I love You

My Deb Fung CD was only just returned to me on Sunday and it was on repreat last night. That's one of my favourite songs on the album! I was thinking about how I'd choose it to play for 5pm church if I were ever to do 'Innermost Being' for a CD review. You should review it! :)
