Chai and the Spice of Life

In the back streets hidden away in a driveway at the end of a dead end road, there exists a wonderful quaint little café near my workplace. I go there from time to time. It sells one of the best chai tea lattes in Sydney.

The place is a short walking distance from my office, so when I decide to treat myself it often comes with the complete package - the wonder of nature.

The fresh suburban air is definitely refreshing change from air conditioned offices. One cannot help but relish in it. Working in the suburbs relative to the city definitely has it's many benefits, the fresh(er) air being one.

I don't discount the many advantages of city life, but the concrete buildings, smog, exhaust fumes, cigarette smoke and masses of advertising littered across buses, bill boards, shop windows, street poles, pathways, gutters, shoes, ants..... pretty much anything you could plaster a message on, never went down well with me. One can't help but revel in the irony being a marketer by trade.

The chai tea is a delight. It definitely lifts my day. This place serves it at the perfect temperature, occasionally with a bit too much froth, but I'm happy to accept these flaws considering it comes with soy milk and table service at a very competitive price. It definitely ranks above anything you get from the mass chain stores in Sydney. It's just a shame it doesn't open on weekends.

Sunny In Pink

The boys in my workplace are real characters. Diverse in background, personality, and character. They're a great bunch.

Today Dan came in with a pink shirt. Not that the other guys don't wear more 'feminine' colours, but it was the first I'd seen from Dan.

It suited him. I don't know what it is, but pink is my yellow. It's bright and cheerful, and I thought it reflected his character nicely.

Porter's Five Forces

This post has nothing to do with Porter's five forces and everything to do with my housegroup. Put us together and you have a mixing pot of, gosh, I don't even know how to describe it!

We've had some hilarious moments over the course of the year, and tonight has proven, yet again, to be one of those nights.

The origin game last week has definitely aided in promoting a broader range of light hearted banter and jest to the mix bag. It is true what they say, sport unites people.

It was an evening encapsulated by much laughter, points of serious considerations, new revelations, somber moments, and much love.
