Serendipity
"There is much I'd like to share with you. I think so much has changed in our lives since we last saw each other - but inside there's a lot that remains the same."
Your words said it all today. And the idea of meeting you in a foreign country and exploring a new place together whilst catching up on the last four years of our lives was a lovely thought to receive. A new place with an old friend sharing how things have and yet have not changed for the both of us.

I found your thought very fitting as our lives has since brought us to new places. Foreign in some aspects to the both of us, but yet familiar. But alas you're in China. I'm in Sydney. And we both lead busy lives.
Nevertheless, your words led me to recall a poem that has been hiding in the deepest corners of my heart. This is it, from memory.
There are friends who sail,
like ships in the night;
Who sail for a moment,
And then out of sight;
Without a backward,
moment of regret;
Friends we know briefly,
then quickly forget;
Then there are friends
who sail with us,
through quiet waters and stormy weathers;
Helping each other
through joy and through strife,
And they are the kind who give meaning to life.
