Magical Sydney Mornings

The ocean captivates me. Everytime. Without fail.

Even more so at the break of dawn. I was out at Dee Why this morning. The view, as I drove past Curl Curl from Freshwater, was magnificent. It was a morning full of promise.

I love the freedom of sitting out past the breaks with the neverending waves rolling past one by one, lifting me up, and bringing me down. It is magical. To be out on my own surrounded by nothing but water, fresh ocean air, and the sky above.

It was yet another perfect way to begin the weekend in Sydney. Slow and serene.

The morning was topped off in the kitchen. Making my mum and myself a breakfast feast; smoked salmon with black olive spread (something I picked up on my trip earlier in the year along the Great Ocean Road), served with capers, camembert, avocado sprinkled with balsamic vinegar with a touch of olive oil on spelt toast. Alongside some hot fresh home made soy milk.

All this while reading the morning paper. Life is divine.
