From Everlasting to Everlasting

So I'm back. Back to Sydney after spending a week in Phuket with my parents.
I suspect it'll be the last trip of its kind for awhile.
Things continue to move, both spiritually and physically. And if all things go according to plan, I'll should be living in Drummoyne in a couple of weeks time.
In the meantime, these are some highlights from the trip:
* Canoeing under the clear blanket sky littered with stars.
* Seeing fireflies as we canoed through the ocean caves at night.
* Admiring the northern constellation on the boat back to the mainland, and reflecting on the majesty and wonder of God.
* Reading Tozer and being simply captivated by the character and nature of God. An utterly brilliant book!
* Massages (nearly everyday!)
* Meeting Kelly from Belgium finishing a tourist working visa in Phuket
* Parasailing on Coral Island (simply amazing!)
* Snorkelling
* Spotting fish, chasing fish, & swimming through schools of fish (and nearly drowning myself in the process)
* Pineapples
* More pineapples
* Everyday I had pineapples
* Pineapples in stir fries, curries, drinks, salads, on its own, everyway possible...
* Meeting Jenny from Iran living in Sydney (conversations were fasinating)
* Seeing the sun set across the ocean at a gorgeous lookout
* Finding out cashew nuts grows on trees
* Finding out rubber comes from trees too!
* Learning about pearls and their various varieties
* Seeing elephants
* Feeding elephants
* Riding elephants through the jungle, and at times, in the rain
* Meeting Keith from UK who currently lives in Hong Kong not far from where I use to live and work (his company and humour was most welcomed)
* Shopping, chatting, and spending 'girly time' with my Mum
* Jungle trekking and being stopped in our tracks by a snake
* Drinking and cooking fresh coconuts in the jungle. The soup was amazing!
* Meeting Amy from UK at the airport; who just finished a two month working stint for a church in Phuket (there is always something special meeting sisters from abroad. A bond is always immediately apparent).
I believe there is more, but I think that's already quite an exhaustive list.
Nevertheless, having said all that, above all, as with all trips abroad, it was God that had the most profound impact on me. His majesty, diversity, unity, protection, strength, immutability, grace... words are always short of describing just how wonderful He is.
I love how my love for Him continues to grow.
I love how I am nothing compared to Him.
Tozer's 'Knowledge of the Holy' brought me, once again, to my knees as I beheld a God whose glory so magnificent, whose weight so great, I am unable to stand. He never fails to wow me with who He is.
Simple and well articulated. Challenging and insightful. Like C.S. Lewis, Tozer is easily assessible to the lay reader (and very likely to grace my bookshelf with many of his other titles). He is a delightful treat for anyone who hungers after God, and seek nothing more, but to see His face all the more clearly.
