The Call

Thought for the day:

"All human beings are alike in seeking happiness. Where they differ is in the objects from which they seek it, and the strength they have to reach the objects they desire. By all means love, by all means desire, but think carefully about what you love and what you desire.

Love in it's nature seeks out the seeker - not because the seeker is worthy of love, but simply because love's nature is to love regardless of the worthiness or merit of the one loved".

"Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God"
- 1 John 4:7

what do u mean when u say that "love in it's nature seeks out the seeker - not because the seeker is worthy of love..."?

not totally sure i understand and agree with that...

i would've thought that it is the seeker that seeks love (hence why they're called the seeker. If they weren't seeking love, they wouldn't be called the seeker). And often love manifests itself to you when you least expect it and when you're not looking for it. Sometimes the seeker seeking love, doesn't find love in what/who they are seeking.

Guess it all comes down to "what you love and what you desire"...

in this case, i suspect it is a matter of not understanding, as oppose to not agreeing.

from who's perspective you're reading it from, God's or your own?
