Take Me On
I had a moment. On Monday in Manly. A moment that captivated me. Well, ok. There were a number of moments that caught the attention of my eyes. The scenery on the Spit to Manly walk still has the ability to make you go wow, even on on it's third time.
It's times like these where I understand the advantages of keeping up with the lastest fashion, fad, trend. In this case, a camera on my mobile phone. Minor issue, but great to capture those spontaneous moments when they occur.
Ah, love those.
On this occasion we stumbled upon a Jamaican guy, normal everyday busker on the streets of Sydney. His repertoire, chess. His proposition, challenge him to a game with three minutes playing time.
He was entertaining to watch - quick, sharp, and with a strong sense of direction.
Red = Attention (not) Seeker
No really. I'm not. An attention seeker that is. Well, ok. Maybe tonight was an exception to the rule.
I was running late. I wasn't thinking. Well, obviously. I grabbed the first shirt I saw. It had the number nine on it. In my mind it clicked. "Ah, yes volleyball shirt. Throw it on". So I did.
It so happened to be a bright red shirt.
I drive, and do a quick marathon sprint up the flight of stairs to the sports hall. I think to myself, "crap, there won't be any time for warm ups". Price I had to pay for underestimating the time I needed to get home from the city.
I enter the sports hall, and spot my team. Much to my bewilderment, they're all wearing black shirts! I give myself a chuckle, and dash towards them. I managed to throw on last season's uniform. No major dramas. More that I just ended up looking like a red sheep in the pack.
It must have been one of those days.
