Letter In A Bottle

I came home to a lovely surprise today! A letter from my pen friend from Texas USA. I couldn't believe it. I thought we may have lost touch!

Receiving her letter brought back many memories of sharing, letter writing, letter sending, letter opening, gift wrapping, and all things letter related.

I still have many of the gifts she's sent me in various places in my room, and a whole draw dedicated to letters I'd received from her since 1991.

How wonderful it is to have someone to write to. Email, though great, and has many advantages, isn't quite the same.

I could feel her joy at the news that I'll be in the States next month. After 14 years of friendship, postal stamps, and envelopes - we may finally meet!
