Here We Go
Okay. I'm going to have to be quick. Here is a quick diagnosis of what's been happening over the past couple of days.

Pack! Pack! Pack!
I think I began packing at like 10:30 at night on Friday night. Pathetic, but oh well. I managed in the end. I know I was procastinating. Work was hectic, and my mind didn't want to do anything but tune out. So I watched Love Actually on dvd, until JT arrived at around 11:00pm, and kept me company, and encouraged me to pack despite my apprehension. We chatted till about 3am in the morning.

We're off. Sam dropped by to visit bearing gifts. Bumped into Nivethi at the train station on the way to the airport. Got a call from Annabelle to say goodbye.
I was in go with the flow mode. My mind was off, but my body was moving.
Had a few dramas at the airport. My Dad got beeped at the metal detectors. He left his watch, and we had to go dashing back for it. Luckily it was found.
Recieved a call from Vince, and a couple of sms messages from Greg and JT. I'm going to miss everyone, naturally.
Flight went very smoothly. Food was surprisingly good. I was starting to notice subtle changes in culture, people, products.
We got served pretzels, instead of peanuts. There was tomato juice served with lemon. The fosters can had a kangaroo on it. Is that right?
Dinner was chicken breast cooked in herbs, served with salad, and a light forrest cake. The cake was good.
Supper we had a sandwich, which was amazingly nice. I'm not sure what cheese was sandwiched in between, but it was really melt in your mouth.
I sat next to Mara, an Indian lady from Sydney, originally from Figi, who was on a two and a half month trip around the world.
I saw sideways on the entertainment system, but missed the beginning and the end. I was slightly surprised that it wasn't a movie that I particularly enjoyed.
I spent most of the trip listening to damien rice, kara, brook fraser, norah jones, deb fung, and a host of other songs on my ipod. Boy did that make time go so much faster.
14 hour flight came and went.
We arrived in San Francisco airport at 10am, local time.
We were greeted by long lost family of 31 years! Michael, Anna, Joy, and Jonathan. It was such a joy to finally meet them, and to be able to greet each other with hugs and kisses!
