Our Heros
I knew we didn't stand a chance once the penalty was called. I couldn't bear to watch the imminent seconds before the Italians scored the deciding shot, and when they did, my heart sunk low, especially after building up to such a high 10 minutes prior to full time. It's the lowest I've ever felt it go in a long time. I dare to say I never knew such emptiness.
Ah, the power of sport.
Our Managing Director is Italian and he's has given us a half day today, meaning I don't have to be in the office until late morning. Yah! Which also explains why I'm probably up at this crazy hour.
We had a bet going in the office after the Croatia win. If the Socceroos won this morning our Managing Director was going to take us all out to lunch, and if the Italians won..... well I guess I'll find out in several hours.
Should the results be reversed Dan offered to make our MD a vegemite sandwich with his own two hands in return. I'll like to see him do it.
