Friends Who Inspire

Sandwiched in a book a friend gave me as a birthday gift, I found a letter from another friend. They contained some of the most richest words I'd ever received. And though I couldn't appreciate them as much at the time, they are beautiful and honest words that still manages to resonate today - some five years later.

They are written from a friend who has one of the kindest, gentlest, and creative hearts I've known. But mostly from a friend who has inspired me, and has constantly been an inspiration in his belief in me.

The following is a paragraph from a piece titled "Just a Moment".

"Your voice to sing your joy ...in light always;
Your mind to focus ahead when the picture frays;
Your eyes to smile, my girl ...your heart to be free;
And your hands to use your love, I want to live to see."

To J, In answer to a hope you once shared with me. Yes, I have since found mine. It is my hope that you have found yours.
