The Nearness of You

I had a wonderful winter afternoon today at Bather's Pavillion with two girlfriends.

My taste buds were treated to a range of delights consisting of hot potato wedges, chai latte with soy milk and honey (and it was the leaves not the powder!), and a gorgeously light raspberry and pear ricotta tart. The raspberries brought back wonderful memories of raspberries in abundance in Tassie back in April - big, juicy, and tasty.

Watching the sun set slowly across the horizon and the colours change before me was simply beautiful.

If there is one thing that makes my whole being sing, it is being by the water. And my new place in Drummoyne completely satisfies this heart's desire of mine.

The past two mornings have been spent in the sun lit kitchen cooking, and eating breakfast on the balcony while simply soaking up the silence and the view before me.
