Chillaxing
Teenagers are hilarious! A bundle a minute. I love it!
I had the most wonderful conversation with my 17 year old cousin on msn tonight. He is a joy in so many ways. Teenagers have a language all of their own. And it leaves you nothing short of perplexed and in fits of laughter. I mean what is "chillaxing"? Apparently, it's chilling/relaxing!
But what I loved see shine through loud and clear as we chatted was his devotion and upfront honesty. It was refreshing, encouraging, and full of energy. Especially so, when we talked about God.
In our random chattings he lead me to this passage. And I loved how it resounded in my spirit.
"God is not a man, that he should lie,
nor a son of man, that he should change his mind.
Does he speak and then not act?
Does he promise and not fulfill?"
Numbers 23:19
Speaking of cousins and family. I also had a wonderful session on msn/gtalk (the one wonderful thing about technology) with my other cousin and my sister (in Sweeden).
Again, and I say this time and time again. But my family are one of the greatest joys of my life. And I praise and thank God for them daily.
I am indebted to the influence and love my grandparents and parents, in particular my grandmother (mama) and father, have imparted in me - to value the unity of family and an atmosphere filled with much warmth and love - a love perfected because it came first from a place of sacrifice.
