Precision
Today posed quite a contrast to yesterday. Either way these are my ending thoughts for the day.
1. I love waking up to the warmer weathers. I want to hit the beach!
2. Work is hectic, but good. I finally got one of my proposals approved after months of pitching.
3. I feel close and reconnected to God again. I can't wait for homegroup tomorrow night, and church on Sunday. I already know it'll be amazing. And the amazing thing is that it never fails to be amazing!
4. I'm reading Mere Christianity again. C.S. Lewis is brilliant. I love his mind. His insights. His creativity. His humour. His candidness. His command of language.
5. I'm in love with so many songs that makes my heart sing in praise and opens my eyes to the nature of the kingdom. Avalon. Brooke Fraser. Mercy Me. Casting Crowns. Oh the the lines of some of these songs (!!) I was listening to a whole list tonight at the gym - one after another. They were all gems. And had the ability to stir and make me yearn and hunger for more and more of Him.
6. Stillness in the Spirit & Word.
7. One name: Bill Johnson. My modern day C.S.Lewis. The moment I heard him speak close to 2 years ago I knew he was someone worth noting. His insights were deep. Consistent. Biblical. But it wasn't just that. There was more. He was different. There was a real gentleness about him. A real humility. A great heart. There was an intimacy with God he had that lit up the room as he spoke. His life, his ministry, his character was different. There was weight. Great weight. And it had nothing to do with who he was, and everything to do with who he knew. The very person I hungered for.
