Chai Tea
I got to try a genuine chai tea made from real spices today. Well, close enough to it. I can't recall the number of promises the procurement manager at work has given me over the past few months. It's so him. Well, today he finally made me some.
I like tea.
I like spices.
All this talk about tea, and spices is reminding me of two things.
One, the two Sri Lankan travellers I met in Geneva, Switzerland where was first introduced to Chai Tea (I haven't tasted anything remotely similar to it since), and two, the awesome little tea house I stumbled upon in Cesky Krumlov, Czech Republic. Another story for another day.
Commitment
Are we people who are committed? Are we faithful to our commitments? Where does commitment begin? What are we committed to?
I just thought I'd throw those questions up in the air after Reverend Chris Chua spoke about commitment on Sunday.
They are worthy questions to consider.
Time Passes
I can't believe she's already one! It felt like only yesterday she was born!
I got the invite in the mail yesterday. Wow. First birthdays!
Ice Cream
I bought some Korean ice cream from the local Korean store last night after a catch up dinner over Japanese food.
Mmmmm, my eyes light up at the thought of Japanese food :)
I divert.
It was a green tea flavoured ice cream shaped as a flower, with a thin layer of jelly on one side, and a thin layer of chocolate on the other, coated with a thin waffle. Definitely not something you see everyday.
Gotta love the Asian way.
Helps that I love green tea desserts! Especially when you can really taste that bitterness flavour.
It reminds me of the green tea ice cream I use to enjoy at Passionflowers.
Boy, those were the days!
And the green tea mousse Patsy made, and the green tea creme brulee at the Japanese Sushi train that opened up in Chatswood, and the......
I think I'll stop now. Hehe.
China and Beyond
You haven't left quite yet, but soon. It was great to catch up last night. To share, to encourage, and to learn how we can keep each other in our prayers. Though you will be missed, I am confident your love over the years will remain with us all.
